What you need to know
In response to the current outbreak, the NSW government has announced a variety of new rules regarding the vaccination status of the workforce.
From the NSW government website, updated 27th August 2021:
Authorised workers refer to people who live in a declared local government area (LGA) of concern and are authorised to leave their LGA for work purposes.
Authorised workers include:
* Administrative and support services
* Electricity, gas, water and waste services
* Financial services
* Health care and social assistance
* Information media and telecommunications
* Public administration and safety
* Retail trade
* Transport, postal and warehousing
* Other services
Effective 6 September 2021, if you live in or are temporarily staying in a LGA of concern, you must not leave your local government area for work unless you have:
* had at least 1 dose of a COVID-19 vaccine or
* evidence of a medical exemption
Who does this apply to?
If you're considered an authorised worker and are based in a declared LGA of concern you will need to meet these new guidelines by Monday the 6th September, the NSW government has listed out the industries, click through to see if you're on this list here.
How we can help?
Comply Group has already developed a robust Workforce Vaccination Register in response to mandates for aged care workers.
It allows you to monitor the vaccination status of your workforce incredibly easily. A simple yet powerful tool, it's been designed to adhere to differing state government requirements whilst also catering to your businesses needs and help with rostering, planning, and compliance.
We are currently helping a number of organisations impacted by the rules in NSW quickly set up the tool pre-configured with LGA's of concern and ready to be distributed to your workforce in under an hour.
As this is new territory for the majority of businesses we're also currently offering live demonstrations to walk you through the platform and answer any questions you may have.
Feel free to click through here to book a demonstration or get us to set you up for NSW rules out of the box, or feel free to give us a call on 1300 264 822 today.
